General Conference-April 2011

I am always grateful when General Conference comes around. It's a weekend I know I will spend snuggling on the couch with my family enjoying listening to a prophet's guidance and council along with many other leaders of our church. It is uplifting and enriching. - The food's usually pretty good too!

We usuallly like to get a puzzle because it keeps hands busy while we can still listen. This one turned out to be a little more than our patience are up for - it's still sitting on a table in the corner of our living room!

Above and below: We try and update our 72-hour kits (for those of you not familiar - they are kits we would use in an emergency if we had to grab something and go for a few days - we use backpacking packs in our family). General Conference comes every 6 mos. the first weekend in April and the first weekend in Oct. - a great time to inventory clothing and food etc. in our packs. We always have fun doing it too!

Melanie and Melissa helped dress Rebekah up in our stuffed rabbit Flopsy's dress. Amazing fit! It's a homemade stuffed rabbit someone made for my mom and the dress is gorgeous and detailed - with three layers and bloomers! Rebekah loves to dress up and Melanie and Melissa love to dress her up.

Can't wait till October!
