Skiing With James
This was not much of a Winter for skiing, but the kids enjoyed it anyway. It was James' first year, so I guess he didn't have anything to compare it to and he enjoyed it. He's a real speed deamon! Eric and I only went this one day this year - he took the morning shift and I took the afternoon. The girls had their friends to ski with, but luckily James isn't embarrassed of being seen with his parents - yet. (or maybe he is . . . .) We had a good time but this was the only time I got to ride the lift with him, the other times he jumped on ahead of me and then he flew down the hill so fast I told him he wasn't much of a ski buddy. If I had fallen and cracked my head he would have never known! Good thing I was okay! ;)
He's a cutie!

Cookie Dough and Chocolate Malts
Usually when I make cookies (almost always chocolate chip, since that's everyone's favorite) Melanie calls licking the mixing paddle, but she was gone skiing or something this time and Rebekah was all to happy to take the job. Mmm, nothing beats cookie dough!
For some reason I don't often make these yummy treats, but they always remind us of Grandma Diane because we can always count on chocolate malts at her house! Wishing you could have been here to enjoy these with us!

Trip to Boston
Last October we took a trip over to Boston to spend a few days since Grandpa Rex and Grandma Diane and Uncle Matt and our adopted Uncle Jesse (hehe - I have to call him that because he's like family, but I always thing of Uncle Jesse from Dukes of Hazard and it makes me chuckle, I'm not sure Jesse likes this - sorry) were also going to be there with Russell's family. We had a great weekend checking out historic sites and enjoying each others company.

We highly recommend the Barking Crab (the only reason I remember it's name is because its in the next photo ;p ) -we go there everytime!

These two are so cute together - two peas in a pod!

I think we were stopped here waiting while Eric ran in and picked up lunch for our picnic. 1 ipod and 1 DS kept everyone entertained-amazing! I do love history despite my not being able to store the facts in my memory for long, but my favorite part of this trip was the family bonding. We had a good time together!

Above pictures just waiting for the train into downtown Boston and verifying our plans. James seems to be the only one noticing I have the camera out.I wish I could remember all of the names of these places. Everyone else seems to, but for some reason history facts just don't stay in my brain for more than a few minutes. So I won't try and commentary most of these pics unless I feel and explanation is necessary.
